Snowocalypse Volume 6 is happening outside. Oh, being snowed in getting nothing done. What fun! They went and canceled all the school districts in the area for the entire week. Didn't work today, but hey. Also didn't make it to the gym. And, sadly, I really did want to make it to the gym. I managed to jog for 60 minutes and hit 3.5 miles in that time for the first time ever. In my short-long life. I was hoping to go everyday this week so that I might feel a little good about myself on my birthday in tee minus four days. Well, one day out. I hear it won't stop snowing until mid-day tomorrow. Maybe after my lunch shift I'll make it in? Hope they don't close, too. They've completely stopped plowing side streets because they've run out of money (and some other contrived reasons) so now every dusting just destroys local civilization.

My internet has been skitchy all week, too, and it's messing with my archiving. I had hoped to have all of Enterprise backed up on MU by now and posted. Alas, I'm only halfway through season 3. Oh! Oh! But I did also manage to get ahold of a good chunk of the Sex Trek porn parodies. There are, no joke, nine of them and I already love them. The most recent is called, and I quote, "Where No Man Has Cum B4". Yes, with a letter and a number. Their insignia badges have been replaced with condoms. They make constant self-referential jokes. And, though the production value is leagues below This Ain't Star Trek XXX, the snark and knowledge of the show is balls to the wall awesome. We get quotes like the amazing opening monologue bit: "The ship is on red alert. But 4 1/2 minutes into our adventure no one has had sex yet." And, after discovering a mix of the Botany Bay and Harry Mudd's ship: "We must wake this man up! He may be in possession of knowledge we need such as the location of these ladies' G spots." That's a line delivered by "Mr. Sperm". Yes, all the names have been porn-ized too. I love it. I love it so much. I've fast forwarded through one or two of the films and so far have confirmed a sequence in which Chapel can't take it anymore and throws down Spock. Did I mention the celeb cameos? Ron Jeremy plays the Harry Mudd character. I'm trying to track down a decent digital copy of Star Trix: The Passage to Ur-anus, too, but that's proven harder to find. Star Trix is the one with the pants-and-underwearless recreation of the Gorn battle where the Gorn has a vagina face. This sounds like crack fic, but they actually did film it.

I WILL COMPLETE MY SET! And, I will post pictures and full reviews eventually. I think. I'm sure all the new and/or responsible people on my friendslist just regretted ever adding me.

Uh, anyway.

There was a fantastic party at mijan's over the weekend. So many lovely people came. Wish it could have lasted for days, really. I just... That's all I can say. Tres awesome. You had to be there. I don't even have any pictures of my own to share. I was green the entire night. Not sure if my antics got on people's nerves or not, but it seemed a damn successful event as a whole to me. It figures that as I continue to press forward in plans to leave the Midwest, I finally find more than a small handful of people who make it worth living here.

Random, but does anyone have any of Nichelle Nichol's music? I have all of Nimoy's and about half of Shatners, but can't find Nichelle's stuff.

OK so my entire flist is doing that "10 Characters and Questions" Meme, and it looks awesome, and I want to do it, but I saw another version... somewhere... (random LJ person, I'm sure) and I want to do it that way.

SO!  Audience participation time!  In the comments ask a question/give me a scenario... ie:  "number 6 and number 2 are on a date.  Where do they go, what do they do, etc?"

After I get a bunch of questions I'll make my list of 10 characters (I promise no peeking!) and we'll see the random crossovers that happen and I'll write answers/ficlets for each one.  Hell, maybe I'll write real fic!!
